When visiting the FTP Account Manager page, you will be able to view information about existing FTP accounts including the Username and password of each account.
You will also be able to create new FTP accounts, edit the Username and password of existing accounts and log into to Network Solutions® FTP server to upload files from your web browser or an FTP program such as CuteFTP® or SmartFTP™.
What are FTP Usernames and password used for?
If you want to install an FTP program such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP on your computer, you will need the Username name and password to configure the program.
If you want to upload files or view files that have already been uploaded to your Web site, you will need your Username name and password to access the FTP server.
Please Note: You do not need a Username name or password to use Network Solutions® FTP File Publisher.
Please Note: If you're using ImageCafé® Web Site Creator, you do not need to use FTP. Your web pages will automatically upload when you click Publish.
Log in to FTP Account Manager
- Log in to Account Manager: http://www.networksolutions.com. If you've forgotten your log-in information, please visit: https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/forget-login.jsp.
- Click Web Hosting > Manage Web Hosting from the left navigation menu.
- Select the hosting package you want to access and click FTP & Content Publishing.
- Click FTP Account Manager.
Edit your FTP Account Manager Username and password:
1. Select an FTP account and click Edit.
Keep in mind the following parameters when making changes to your Username or password:
- The first part of the Username is customizable
- You cannot change the % sign or the characters that come AFTER the %.
For example, the Username ntsl0011%0032dea can be changed to custom%0032dea.
- Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters, with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.
2. Click OK after creating a new Username and password.
Add New FTP Accounts
You can add new FTP accounts to any Network Solutions® Web hosting package. Below are the maximum number of FTP accounts you can add depending on the type of Web hosting package you purchase:
Standard Web hosting package – 25 FTP Accounts
Advanced Web hosting package – 50 FTP Accounts
Pro Web hosting package – Unlimited FTP Accounts
To add a new FTP account:
- Log in to Account Manager and go to FTP Account Manager.
- Click Add.
- Create a new Username and password.
- Click OK.

FTP Server
When you log in to the FTP Server, you will be able to view all files and folders that have been uploaded to your Web site or upload new files using your web browser or FTP program such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP. .
To log in to FTP Server:
- Go to FTP Account Manager.
- Click Login to FTP Server.
- Type in the Username and password assigned to the FTP account you want to view.
- Click Log on.
- Select htdocs.
